  • Mode of action

    Dextromethorphan HBr

    • An antitussive (cough suppressant) drug
    • Acts via multiple effects, including actions as a nonselective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and asigma-1 receptor agonist Chlorpheniramine Maleate
    • A first-generation alkylamine antihistamine
    • Used in the prevention of the symptoms of allergic conditions like rhinitis

    Phenylephrine HCI

    • A decongestant
    • A selective a1-adrenergic receptor agonist
    • Stimulates postsynaptic alpha-receptors, resulting in vasoconstriction which reduces nasal congestion.

    Pheniramine malate

    • an antihistamine with anticholinergic properties used to treat allergic conditions

    • Adult 10-20mg every 4 hours
    • Child 5-10 mg every 4 hours
