KAFTUS-D syrup
Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg, Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg, Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg
  • Mode of action

    Dextromethorphan HBr

    • An antitussive (cough suppressant) drug
    • Acts via multiple effects, including actions as a nonselective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and asigma-1 receptor agonist Chlorpheniramine Maleate
    • A first-generation alkylamine antihistamine
    • Used in the prevention of the symptoms of allergic conditions like rhinitis

  • Indication

    • Cough
    • Nasal and sinus congestion
    • Rhinorrhoea

  • Dose

    • Adults and Children above 12 yrs of age: 1-2 teaspoonful 3-4 times daily
    • Children 6-12 yrs of age: 1 teaspoon 3-4 times daily
    • Children 2-6 yrs of age: ½ teaspoon 3-4 times daily
    • Children below 2 yrs: as directed by physician
