Mode of action
It is an imidazole derivative, interacts with yeast 14-α demethylase, a cytochrome P-450 enzyme that converts lanosterol to ergosterol, an essential component of the membrane. Results in inhibits ergosterol synthesis, resulting in increased cellular permeability.
Lignocaine:
• local anaesthetic with low index of sensitization and toxicity,
• Helps to reduce pain and stinging in the ear associated with acute otitis media -

• Otomycoses
• Ear pain due to acute otitis media, otitis external -
Dose
2-4 drop Twice a day
