Indication
- A levoisomer of Ofloxacin
- A broad spectrum antibiotic: Active against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria, intra cellular as well as anaerobic bacteria
- Has excellent tissue penetration
- Completely absorbed
- More potent than offloxacin and ciprofloxacin
- Used to treat severe or life-threatening bacterial infections or bacterial infections that have failed to respond to other antibiotic classes

Dose
- Nosocomial Pneumonia: 750 mg daily for 7 to 14 days
- Community acquired Pneumonia: 500 mg daily for 7-14 days or 750 mg daily for 5 days
- Acute bacterial sinusitis: 750 mg daily for 5 days or 500 mg daily for 10-14 days
- Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: 500 mg daily for 7 days
- Complicated skin and skin structure infections: 750 mg daily for 7-14 days
- Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections: 500 mg daily for 7-10 days
- Chronic bacterial prostatitis: 500 mg daily for 28 days
- Complicated urinary tract infections: 750 mg daily for 5 days or 250 mg daily for 10 days
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections: 250 mg daily for 3 days
- Acute pyelonephritis: 250 mg daily for 10 days
- Inhalational anthrax (post exposure): 500 mg daily for 60 days
