  • Mode of action

    Tobraycin: Refer above
    Dexamathasone: is a glucocorticoid agonist, acts by binding with the DNA and inhibit the transcription, results in inhibition of leuckocyte infiltration at the site of inflammation and suppress the humoral immune responses, and reduction in edema or scar tissue. It has also anti-inflammatory action through inhibition of phospholipase A2, which controls the potent mediators if inflammation such as prostaglandin and leukotrienes.

    • Ocular infection
    • Ocular infection with suspected or confirmed bacterial infection

  • Side effects

    Hypersensitivity, pruritis, burning sensation, irritation, hyperemia

  • Precaution

    Pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity

  • Dose

    Ocular infection with suspected or confirmed bacterial infection
    Adult: Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 4-6 hourly
