Mode of action
lt is an aminoglycoside antibiotics, acts by binding to several site at 30s & 50s ribosomal subunit as well as to their interface-freeze initiation, interfere with polysome and cause the misreading of mRNA code.

Dose
Ocular infection
Adult: Mild to moderate infection: instill 1-2 drops into infected eye every 4 hourly. Severe infection: Instill 2 drops into affected eye every 30-60 mins.
