Mode of action
Cefpodoxime Proxetil 30ml Dry Syrup
- A third generation cephalosporin
- Broad spectrum antibiotic, active against most of Gram positive and Gram negative organisms.
- Works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis by inhibiting final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis in cell walls.

Indication
Pharyngitis, Tonsilitis, Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Sinusitis, Genital infections & Gonorrhoea, Skin & Soft tissue infections.

Dose
- Adults: 100 to 400 mg every 12h.
- Children 6 month to 12 years of age: 10mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 h (max 200mg/dose)
